Moving into Trafford

If you have moved (or are about to move) from outside the borough to a property in Trafford, you must register with us for Council Tax.

Use the online form below to let us know you are moving into Trafford.

You will need to tell us all of the following:

• The postcode and house number (or name) of the property you are moving to.
• The confirmed dates of your move
• The full name of all residents aged 18 or over who will be moving into the property.
• Details of your landlord or letting agent if you are renting.

Moving home within or outside Trafford

If you have been paying Council Tax for a property in Trafford, and have moved house (or are about to move), you are legally obliged to inform us within 21 days of the date of your move.

This applies whether you are moving between properties within Trafford, or to a property outside Trafford.
