Salford City Football Club fans and the Greater Manchester community are being encouraged to lace up their walking shoes for Stroll for Salford, a six-mile sponsored walk raising funds for Foundation 92.
The event, supported by official sponsor Camptech, starts from Hotel Football, Old Trafford.
Walkers will journey through Manchester city centre, stop at the National Football Museum, and finish at the Peninsula Stadium, home of Salford City FC.
Registration is free, with walkers asked to pledge to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for Foundation 92, which supports community sport participation across Greater Manchester.
The event is open to all, with under-16s required to be accompanied by an adult. Organisers advise a minimum age of 10 years old for children, though the decision is left to parents.
