Services at Altrincham Library

• Fiction and non-fiction books for adults, including academic texts, large print books and talking books on CD
• Children's books and junior non-fiction, including talking books on CD
• Range of items available 24/7 via BorrowBox
• Free reservations for any item in stock or on order at any Trafford library
• Black and white and colour photocopying
• Printing and scanning facilities
• Free access to public Wi-Fi
• Computer facilities, including access to the Internet, are available to library members via People's Network PCs
• Toilet for disabled users

Opening hours

Open+ access 

Open+ extends library opening hours beyond staffed times, letting you use the library even when staff aren't present. To get Open+ access, visit a specific library and ask the team, or call our Contact Centre at 0161 912 3189.

Toilet facilities are not available when the library is in Open+

Unfortunately, our main library doors at Altrincham library have a fault and need to be replaced. These are on order, however, until these are replaced, we won’t be able to operate Open+ at the library. 

Meeting rooms for hire

Altrincham Library has three meeting rooms and one interview room available to hire. The meeting rooms are flexible and can be booked as separate rooms or all together as one room.

Parking

Short-term parking is available on Market Street, where charges apply. There are also a number of disabled bays outside the library on Market Street.
