Trafford Local Studies Centre (TLSC)

The Trafford Local Studies and Archive Centre (TLSC) collects and preserves material relating to the former towns and rural areas which, since 1974, make up the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford. You can find a comprehensive stock that includes reference collections, lending materials, periodicals, and journals. 

The centre also maintains a continually expanding collection of genealogical resources to support family history research, accessible in both print and online formats.

Facilities

• Reading Room for archival research and quiet study
• Local history research space with public computers, microfilm, and microfiche readers

If you wish to access the archives, make an appointment at least one working day in advance by emailing trafflocals@trafford.gov.uk or calling 0161 912 3013.
