Match day parking scams

We do not employ operatives to collect payment for parking on-street. If you are approached to park on the public highway for payment, even if the person is dressed to suggest they are a Trafford Council employee or claim to be working on behalf of Trafford, this is a parking scam.

If a vehicle is parked in contravention of any parking restrictions, a penalty charge notice may be issued. Check for any road markings and restriction signs before leaving your vehicle parked.

Greater Manchester Police are aware that these activities may occur and will take action to prevent them when observed.
