Memorial Location

The Altrincham Sunday Service of Remembrance comprises of the main service at the Garden of Remembrance on Dunham Road opposite St Margaret’s Church, Altrincham, WA14 4AQ, followed by a smaller service at Chapel Street Memorial on Regent Road in Altrincham.

Attendees

Aim to arrive for 10.30am. The service will begin at approximately 10.55am and usually lasts around 30-40 minutes. Parking is available on the roads around the memorial garden including St Margaret’s Road, WA14 2BG.

A small number of chairs will be available for anyone who requires one.

After the service

Refreshments will be served at St Margaret’s Church following the service. The service will take place in all but extreme weather conditions so dress appropriately and bring an umbrella.

Following the service at the Garden of Remembrance, a short service will take place at Chapel Street. It is approximately a 15 minute walk to this location. This service takes place at approximately 12 noon and is expected to last around 10 minutes.

If you’d prefer to drive to Chapel Street, parking in Altrincham can be difficult at this time of day on a Sunday so leave sufficient time to find a space if there are no spaces in Regent Road car park.

Following the service at the Garden of Remembrance has finished, a short service will take place at Chapel Street, it is approximately a 10 minute walk to this location.

This service takes place at approximately 12 noon and is expected to last around 10 minutes.
