Urmston Service of Remembrance

If you do not want to take part in the parade, arrive at Urmston War Memorial, Davyhulme Circle, by 10:40am, a small number chairs are available for anyone who may need one.

Road closure

Roads surrounding the parade route will be closed from 10am to approx 12 noon.

Parade

Aim to arrive at Eden Square, next to Urmston Library, no later than 10:10 am. On arrival, make yourself known to the Parade Marshals.

The parade will leave from Urmston Library / Eden Square at an estimated time of 10.35am traveling along Crofts Bank road, pausing at Golden Hill park for the laying of two wreaths and will then continue onto Davyhulme Circle.

The service and parade will take place in all but very extreme weather conditions. Dress appropriately and bring an umbrella.

After the service

The Reverend James Spence will lead the Civic Party back along Croft’s Bank Road. The Civic Party will leave first, stopping outside Golden Hill Park in preparation for the salute. The Parade Marshal will lead the remainder of the parade at his command.
