How to get an allotment

If you are interested in having an allotment, the first thing to do is to view the individual information pages for allotments in Trafford. 

Each page has information about the allotment as well as contact details of the allotment Secretary, who will be able to tell you what is available.

Cost of an allotment

A full plot (250 square metres) has an annual fee of £104. For a half plot, the annual fee is £52.

For those over 60, there is a 50% discount on the cost of an allotment.

From April 2026, the annual cost of a full plot will increase to £138.80. For a half plot, the annual fee will change to £69.40. This is due to inflation. The 50% discount for over 60s will apply to the new price of each plot.
