How we make emergency payments

Emergency food and fuel payments (Trafford Assist)
We will make emergency payments directly to your bank account. The bank account must be yours.
In some circumstances, we may give you a voucher instead.
Payments clear three working days after we approve your application. Bank holidays are not working days, so allow extra time if applicable.
Providing false information is a criminal offence.
If fraud is suspected, we will investigate and may take legal action. You may also need to repay the money received.
