How to move more
Walking, wheeling and cycling are easy ways of integrating movement into your everyday life. And it can be a great alternative to driving, plus it’s cheap, convenient, healthier and better for the environment.
Wheeling refers to any way of moving on wheels, such as using a scooter, wheelchair, pram or mobility scooter.
People on lower incomes are less likely to own cars, and if they do, they are expensive to run. By enabling people to feel safe when walking, wheeling and cycling in their local community, we are helping to reduce inequalities. View our walking, wheeling and cycling strategy.
We are also improving the cycling and walking networks in Trafford through our Active Travel schemes and School Streets.
