Council Tax discounts

You can apply for a discount to reduce your Council Tax bill, depending on your circumstances.

On these pages you can find out how to apply for different types of discount to your Council Tax bill.

Keep paying the instalments on your Council Tax bill while we make a decision about your discount. If we approve it, we’ll send you a new bill with the updated amount.

If you receive a Council Tax discount and your circumstances change, you must inform us within 21 days or we may charge you a £70 penalty.
